How To Steal 25 Pairs of Panties

WINTER HAVEN – A whole different meaning to Panty Stuffing. A 57-year-old man was arrested after he was caught stuffing 25 pairs of women’s underwear in his shorts, authorities said.The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. Friday at a Bealls Outlet Store on 6th Street.A store employee told authorities he watched Benjamin G. Kennedy stuff panties in his shorts. Another store employee said she saw Kennedy put a yellow shirt in his shorts.

An off-duty Winter Haven police officer approached Kennedy and saw a pair of pink panties hanging out of the man’s shorts pocket, authorities said.

Kennedy resisted, but eventually was wrestled to the ground and handcuffed. After which, the panties and shirt were recovered.

Officers also recovered a pair of wire cutters, which Kennedy was using to remove the security device from the clothing, police said.

Kennedy was charged with theft, resisting arrest and battery on an officer.

Businessman Steals Panties For Lucky Charm

A 45-year-old Ghanese businessman, Yaw Atsiade, stole panties belonging to a woman with the view of using them as a lucky charm. His intention allegedly was to rub them against his nose in an attempt to win her love.
The sniffing ritual has failed and now he is in trouble with the law. He was arrested by the Amasaman police on Tuesday.

Crime officer at Amasaman Police Station said Yaw Atsiade, a resident of Ashalaja, a suburb of Accra, proposed love to a 35-year-old lady about a year ago but she refused him.

Assistant Superintendent of Police R.C. Totimmeh, said Atsiade persisted and harassed the lady for her love, but she continued to turn him down. About a month ago, the lady realised that somebody had broken into her room and stolen only her panties, some of which were clean and some of which were dirty which she kept in a small bag.

The lady conducted her own investigations and it revealed that, it was Atsiade who was the panty thief, with the view of using them to win her heart. ASP Tottimeh said the lady reported the case to the Unit Committee members of Ashalaja and when Atsiade was confronted, he admitted stealing the panties but could not hand them back.

He said the unit committee fined Atsiade GH¢70 and asked him to produce the panties within two weeks but he failed to do so. ASP Tottimeh said the case was reported to the police and Atsiade the panty thief was arrested.

He said Atsiade would be charged for the theft of the panties.

The Lafayette County Crimestoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of a panty-raiding perpetrator that has local law enforcement officers scrambling to calm the fears of women in Oxford and Lafayette County.

Since July, an unknown suspect has been on the loose, breaking into young women’s homes and stealing their panties.

All together, the Oxford Police Department and Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department have reported about a dozen burglaries where all that was taken was the female occupants panties or other lingerie. Most of the break-ins have occurred in the city with about two occurring in the county.

Some students are not worried because they say Oxford is a college town known for pranks.

“It’s stupid and harmless and it’s going to pass,” said student Sloane Trezevant.
“I’ve heard that he doesn’t actually steal them. He just like puts them around your room and takes pictures and stuff,” said freshman Hattie Wheeler

“I heard he’s watching them and when they leave their house he walks in and steals their panties,” said sophomore Erin Jayjohn

Word that a panty robber is taking students panties is spreading quickly.

The person has laid low since June, possibly taking a break while students were away from the summer.

Over the weekend the lingerie bandit struck again. Police say he’s not just stealing underwear. He’s stealing photos of his victims too.

“I mean, why would he go around stealing women’s panties? I mean what’s the purpose behind that,” asked Junior Shateema Randolph.

Police say the panty bandit is walking into unlocked apartments, going through drawers and stealing lingerie.

One victim even said the prowler stole pictures of her in a swimsuit.

No one has seen what the person looks like yet.

So far, the target has been apartments around the college campus. Now, female students say they are looking out and locking up.

“Yesterday was my first time hearing about it so yesterday was the first day I locked my door,” said Wheeler.
