Man wearing panties awaits his prison sentence

  • The man from Burnley England ho was convicted of a series of offences including voyeurism and aggravated burglary has been warned by the judge he faces a long prison sentence.
    Judge Stuart Baker asked for psychiatric reports on 42-year-old Gary Marie and more information about the impact of the offences on the victims.
    Marie was remanded in custody until April 14th when the Judge will also consider background reports, and his previous record.
    He was convicted by a jury at Preston Crown Court of charges including voyeurism and taking and possessing indecent photos.
    Marie decided not to give evidence at his trial, and also opted not to go into the court room.
    On the judge’s direction, the jury returned not guilty verdicts on other charges of burglary and theft.

    Marie, a convicted burglar, will also be dealt with for police assault connected to his arrest last March in the Padiham area. At the time he was wearing a home-made balaclava, made from a pair of knickers, and had tools hidden in the handle bars of his mountain bike. He was also found to be wearing women’s panties.

    Marie was remanded in custody and is awaiting sentence.
