Southington Police Sgt. Lowell DePalma said Thursday night that the suspect passed a note to a teller which said "put the money in the bag or I'll start shooting." The teller did as requested and police said the robber was able to escape with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The robber did not show a gun and no one was hurt, police said.
The robber has been described as a shorter man who had been dressed as a woman and wearing white gloves. Police are asking for help in identifying the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Southington Police Department at (860) 621-0101.
