WIFE DREAMS OF DRESSING HUSBAND IN LACY LINGERIE
DEAR ABBY: My husband and I recently watched a comedy that featured men cross-dressing. Ever since, I have had a burning desire to have my husband wear sexy lingerie and makeup.
There is nothing effeminate about him, but I can't get this out of my head. I bought him a lacy bra and panty set, garter belt and stockings, but I haven't had the nerve to ask him to wear them. Am I crazy? Should I try to forget this? -- BURNING DESIRE IN NAHANT, MASS.
DEAR BURNING: Human sexuality is complicated. There are many women who help their husbands cross-dress, however it is my understanding that the initiator is usually the man. I don't think you are crazy, nor do I think you should "forget" something that you describe as a "burning desire." What I do think you should do is have a frank discussion with your husband and find out how open-minded he is on the subject.

What Abby forgot or didn't know to mention was that after she presents the idea to her husband, he'll want to wear lingerie all the time. Then he'll be wearing hers and then they will be fighting over them. I've always said, there are two types of guys in the world: Those that wear panties, and those that wish they could wear panties.

I am sure that my wife needs to watch that show also, maybe she might get the same idea, one can only hope so. I just wish that more woman found this to be acceptable for their spouses! After all maybe it could be a key to lasting sexual and a meaningful marriage. I always believe that the key to a good relationship is good communications!

The movie that comes to mind that a woman would watch is the old Marilyn Monroe flick, "Some Like It Hot." One must remember though that 1) letters from the lovelorn are often fakes, 2) Controversy results in more readers which translates to advertising dollars and 3) most of life is one way and that's not usually going to be good for the panty wearing married men. If it's real, and it might be, then I sure hope the guy really goes for it and she doesn't get jealous or somehow bent out that he loves it a lot.
