Why does everyone have X-Ray vision?

Why is it that when I wear panties under my jeans to make a trip to the local supermarket, it feels like the entire world knows about it?
I know it's just psychological, but no one looks at me that much when I'm NOT wearing panties. I keep checking to see if I'm showing a bit through a new hole in my pants, or something! Am I just giving off "panty vibes", or what? 
I'm self-conscious, for sure, but I think there's more to it than that.
Anyone?

Is it possible that they are picking up on your nervousness, rather than your panties? Or perhaps that you are looking more for reactions when wearing panties than when not? Most people don't notice one another very much at all, but they do respond to eye contact, or to people looking their way. If you are looking more for reactions, you would tend also to have more people looking back at you. Who knows? Maybe they are self conscious about their own panties showing?
I write this as someone whose outerwear is almost alway purchased in the misses or women's departments. It remains fairly unisex, but to anyone paying close attention (maybe even less than close) a moment's thought would lead to the realization of where these clothes come from.
People may look at times, but over the course of several years I've yet to have anyone ask about it, nor for that matter can I trace any acts of exclusion or the like to what I was wearing, or people's reactions to same. Know that at one time I was at least as self-conscious about my undies as I take it you are, so far as I can tell based on your tone. It was (at least for me) something that went away more or less with time and constancy. After all, since I wear panties 24/7, I really haven't had a baseline for comparison for several years, and the last time I wore boxers they were mainly silk or satin, easy to imagine as panties, and were worn only while I was in the hospital for a few weeks.

for most of us we probably all act slightly different when we wear panties( i know i do). they probably notice the fact that you carry yourself just a little different than on other days. i thought the same ting for a while. i've blurted out that i'm wearing panties before when i thought people knew, and they were like no you're not, for real? or something like that.

amber, i am unsure how often you wear panties, but i think generally once a person starts wearing panties everyday, it becomes second nature - although they always feel great to slip on, and feel great to wear, you will forget that you are wearing them at times, when you are busy or whatever.
for me, i enjoy letting people get a glimpse of my panties sometimes.

It's psychological - I'm sure that no one in the supermarket knows that you wear knickers under your jeans unless you've inadvertently allowed your knicker label to stray over the top of them!

I totally agree with what has been posted already ... and I know it is true I feel and act differently when I am wearing my sexy panties then when I am wearing my everyday panties (although even my everyday panties are sexier than what most real gurls wear these days) ... and I do wear panties 24/7 even when I know I am going to be some where that they maybe noticed ... such as a doctors office or the gym ... so on those days I make sure I wear my best, sexiest panties .. wouldn't want to disappoint my doctor or his nurses ... ****blush*** .. but I also believe we do give off "panty vibes" just because of the way they make us feel special and a little naughty some times ...
But I wanted to post something Dr. Phil said once that made me rethink the way I felt about wearing panties out in public ... "People would care a lot less what other thought about them, If they realize how seldom they actually do (think about them)."
So don't worry about others noticing your wearing pretty panties and enjoy the fact you are ... Panties can and do make us feel better about ourselves ... and there is nothing wrong with that.

 I do not act any different when waering lingerie under my male outer clothing. I have been wearing panties for for over 60 years and own no male underware.

I agree that most people would only notice your panties if they were the only thing you were wearing. I try to keep my eyes out for men in panties and I can't tell.

I, like a lot of you used to be self concise when I started to wear panties to work. I remember the thrill that I had them on and none of the other guys did. OR did they? So now I wear them 24/7 after a while you can forget you have them on, so what I do I wear panties with a lot of lace around the leg openings so when I walk the lace reminds me I have on my lovely panties.
