Police are seeking help finding a mentally ill man who may be dressed as a woman and could be a danger to the public.

Robert Denney, 35, who suffers from schizophrenia, escaped from a mental hospital in Germany without his medications on Saturday and he's now believed to be in South Florida.

Denney, is also a cross-dresser, who calls himself "Robbi." Police say he called his parents on Monday from a land line near Peacock Park in Coconut Grove.

Denney is about 6 feet tall and 140 pounds. He has long dark hair usually tied in a ponytail and chain-smokes Marlboro cigarettes, according to one of his old friends.
Denney has been involuntarily committed since July, and doctors describe him as "psychotic.''

Denney does not have a history of violence but could possibly self inflict or cause harm to others.

Anyone with information should call Miami police detective Jose Rojas at 305-579-6619 or private investigator Daniel Maya at 786-999-4222.
