Thailand's most famous kickboxer, Ms Parinya Charoenphol, more affectionately known as Nong Toom, is promoting a movie based on her real life adventure, titled "Beautiful Boxer".

Nong Toom first came to prominence in 1998 as a lean, mean, fighting machine who loved putting on a pair of boxing gloves, little did his fans know, he also loved dressing as a woman and putting on a pair of lacy panties.
In 1999, he finally fulfilled his dream of becoming a woman, and underwent a major sex-change operation. The movie tells the story of Nong Toom's life as a transvestite, and later as a transsexual, and how as a young boy he always wanted to be a girl

The 23 year old is also hoping it will help people understand the tough choices she had to make in her former life as a prizefighter.
Now as actress and model in Thailand, Nong says she is finally happy she is a woman, although she does admit to miss having the strength of a man occasionally.

Nong who is presently single, is keeping busy by the acting offers that are coming in, including soap operas, and an action movie.

"Beautiful Boxer" opens in Singapore on April 29th.
