For many years I wore only full cut panties. I liked the waist to upper thigh coverage and it was the favorite style of my wife whose panties I borowed before I started my own panty collection. I found the full cut brief to be very attractive and sensual because there was sufficient room for an erection and penile play. I also adored the feeling and appearance of wearing nylon tricot panties (usualy Vanity Fair). There was a lot of soft material to rub my fingers up and down the front and back of the panty. It gave me an erotic sensation when I did that. The full cut style also concealed some of my mid-age midriff expansion.
Over the years I came to appreciate other styles such as the hipster, the bikini and the thong. The only problem with the thong is that sometimes my package becomes uncovered. For bedtime play the crotchless bikini gets my vote. While both bikinis (regular) and thongs can be pushed easily aside for pleasure action, the crotchless panty doesn't have to be moved and it has a sexier apearance than all of the other styles.
Although I love the crotchless panty, I would have to admit that the full cut brief for everyday wear gets my vote as #1 overall. My favorite brief panty is made by secrets in lace and is sheer nylon in texture. I own them in the brief and tap panty styles. They are to-die-for.

I find it difficult to pick a true favorite. At this point I also tend to wear a lot of full-cut briefs, due mainly to a balooning of myself that came about in part due to some medical problems of the last few years. Unfortunate side effects of some of the drugs prescribed, though, were, at first a lot of GI irritation most easily "self medicated" by eating comfort foods not too helpful to my diet.
After finding that drug didn't really address its intended target anyway, its replacement is likewise known for appetite "enhancing" side effects. I'm still struggling to get back under control, having gone in about 2 years from 175 lbs to around 260 (ouch!) -- so far, the best I've been able to do is halt or at least slow to imperceptibility the pace of weight gain.
Anyway, I love the few Secrets in Lace ones I own, though I have to say that I don't feel they're the best value out there, especially comparing prices in other products sold by S~inLace.
Mostly mine are either department store Vanity Fair classic styles or those sold in the Lane Bryant stores (not the catalog). Lane Bryant Cacique brand isn't cheap either, but they almost always run something like a 5 for the price of 3 promo that gets the per panty price down to $10 or less, depending on your choices.
Secrets "discounts" too, but the final price winds up being more like $14 to $24, depending on style. Also, Secrets' range of choices has always been a bit limited in panties -- I like them a lot more when it comes to bras, garter belts and retro-style RHT stockings.
Lane Bryant has really been expanding a lot lately in its offerings, both in some stores and online. There are some fantastically femme things to be found there right now, far more than say a year or two ago.
Before my weight gain, I frequently wore a much wider array of styles (including thongs). My favorites still tended to be hi cuts, standard bikinis and what are sometimes called "french cut" or string bikinis. For everyday comfort, I also like the various "barely there" microfiber styles (at this point just about every major brand has its own version of these).

My Favourite everydayKnickersare Sloggi 'Double Comfort' Tai. They are Hi-leg knickers and really are comfortable, the cut is perfect for the male anatomy, they hold everything in place with no slippage. I also like the fact that they are unobtrusive in public changing rooms and visits to the doctor! I highly recommend these knickers!

This is quite a serious topic. It would seem to me that we should all be slow to proffer an opinion... even of our favourite. I know that as soon as I think that I have hit upon the epitome of what I value in cotton gusseted dainties that my faith is shaken by a new and unknown example.
In the final analysis, the most important attribute that I've found in a panty is the effect that it engenders in the bystanding observer. I exhort you all to head to your nearest mall and take a position at the junction of the most frequented thoroughfares. After you've set yourself up, test out half a dozen pairs of your most valued designs. The panties you are wearing when the boys-in-blue carry you off is almost certainly the one that will carry the most universal appeal. If anybody knows it's these guys.

I'm imagining standing there arms folded as if waiting for the wife to finish here 30 minute tour of the Body Shop store, with a pair of white panties over my head. Although I would think arrest would be imminent, due to the suspicion of being a possible Panty Terrorist

I love wearing bikini panties. Either a white or a Bubble Gum pink. I love the way my jeans or shorts massage my butt with the full butt coverage. Some times I like to wear the low rise bikinis if I want to make sure I don't give any panty peeks, Like at work. But I also love Tangas and Boyshorts.

I love the full cut brief for coverage and feel! The more panty the better (except the granny panties!). The worst pair I owned were the Elephant Trunks from Fredricks of Hollywood. I gave those to Amber! They hardly covered what I had limp, when I was aroused.... Forget It! Oh well, she looks good in 'em though!

Elephant Trunks from Frederick's? Now I know I'm confused. The only ones I knew of were the ones that appear to be no more that re-decorated standard designs (generally from the lowest price point brands) that are then marketed as "especially made" for men with some sort of attempted waffle about how they are derived from vintage 60s and 70s designs. (Yet you can usually find the same panty, sans the added lace or bow) for less than $3 at WalMart or your local grocery store. (Here in the States, that is.)
I get the Frederick's catalog all the time (one came in the last day or three) -- never noticed Elephant Trunks there, just the occasional uninteresting novelty bit for the insecure macho man or his insecure girlfriend's "peace of mind/amusement."

This is the first I was aware that these folks also do custom work. Has anyone bought anything from them (Cameo Intimates) already? I've been tempted again and again -- so much of their standard line is so marvelously retro -- but the business about being made to order (and the attending lag time) has usually been what's put me just far enough off to not make the final commitment to actually buy something.

I find that I enjoy Thongs mostly, but I really enjoy most anything with Lace on it.
