A man who reportedly was walking around a house while sniffing women's underwear last week is facing a burglary charge, according to an arrest affidavit obtained Monday.
A St. Lucie County sheriff's deputy on Friday responded to the 3800 block of Arnold Road for a suspicious person report. A neighbor said a man, who she didn't recognize as a resident, was walking back and forth from the front to the rear of the home.
The person told deputies the man "had what appeared to be women's panties in his hands and was placing up to his face to smell them as he was walking around the residence."

Investigators found the man, identified as Jeseel R. Herrier, 31, who said he didn't live at the home. Herrier, listed as homeless, had three pairs of panties and four rings in his pockets.

A rear sliding door to the home was unsecured. Investigators found no one inside, but did turn up women's clothing on the beds and floors in two bedrooms.

Herrier, who admitted going in the home, was arrested on a felony burglary charge.
