
AN Oxford-educated transvestite has told of the "intimidation" and "discomfort" he felt at the hands of Hackney market traders after he was jeered for wearing a bright pink wig and skirt.
Jeremy Carroll, 41, was shopping in Ridley Road market in Dalston when he received a less-than-friendly response from some traders.
The separated father-of-one, who calls himself "Pink Boy", said: "Some of the stallholders started to catcall loudly and bay at me and a wave of sound rolled around the top end of the market, which was very aggressive and unpleasant.
"My friend and I stopped shopping and went home without browsing and with our cash still in our handbags."
While Jeremy admits he is no stranger to hecklers on the street, he feels those who have a job to serve him as a customer should show him more respect.
"The traders behaving badly are ruining it for the ones who are pleasant and polite and those traders should save their homophobic prejudices for private.....

I thought the majority of stall holders were Bacon Sarnie's now anyway who are, or at least were a mild and accepting lot providing one kept off the subject of religion. There's certainly a fair share who are Behind with the Rent, and enjoy a bit of the Khyber Pass let me tell you. I wonder if this is just some kind of publicity stunt by the tranny, after all a GG only has to walk past a building site to attract the same kind of attention, and most love it... makes their day in fact ........well unless she happens to be a three wheel trike
