DO you think that that best kind of panties are SILK or SATIN?
I have been dressing in my sisters and my mums panties and lingerie since I was 4. I have heaps now and I love it! I live alone and have panties in my top draw.

Is there a difference? both feel wonderful .. satin is cheaper to buy but silk keeps its wonderful feeling longer ... so I guess SILK is best but satin is really close ...
Sadly for some of us gurls living on a budget .. nylon and mirofiber along with virgin cotton will have to do most of the time ... good thing they also feel wonderful ...

I think it all boils to your personal tastes. I have hundreds (make that thousands) of panties and I really can't say which type of fabric I like best. A lot depends on the manufacturer and the quality of material they use. Maidenform uses a combination of antron nylon and lycra spandex which produces a very silky and luxurious feel. Warners, Olga, Bali, Vanity Fair and Victorias Secret are just a few of the many companies producing fine lingerie. If you get into the European market the variety increases exponentialy. I'm not a great fan of silk panties, even though I do have some. The words "silk panties" is probably a little more erotic sounding as opposed to "nylon panties" As far as mens underwear goes, I believe there is one hillbilly farm in Arkansas that produces all the mens ugly underwear for the rest of the world.

It has to be satin. No other material is the furthest from men's underwear. It washes well and of course feels fantastic. It's shiny and makes for the sexiest panty lines.
Of course that's only my opinion.

I would prefer to have more than two choices. If that had been the case, my vote would be for nylon, either of the opaque/tricot style or the ultra-sexy sheer type. Nylon panties have been my panty of choice for more than forty years and I find them to be softer and more sensuous to wear, to feel and to look at.

While I'm sure I could afford more, I think I may only have one silk pair. I also have several pairs of silk boxers that were purchased for me a while back when I spent a few weeks in a hospital and my caregiver was concerned for my safety should I insist on wearing panties there.
The silk panties are a beautiful emerald green, and I practically NEVER wear them because I don't want to risk damaging them in the washing. Plus, I tend to put off handwashing something terrible. So satin, nylon tricot, microfiber, nylon mesh... my tastes are pretty broad, pun intended. Also, don't forget about the various spandex combinations! Ive been thinking about making some custom panties for eBay sale, and more than a few ideas have been sparked by my hoard of unusual spandex prints and a big lot of stretch lace (fabric and elastic lace), and other laces that are a part of my rather ridiculous fabric stash. I also have a large lot of vintage scarves that might make some unique panties some day (hopefully sooner rather than later).

Personally, I look for style, then fabric, but of those 2 choices, I'd have to go with silk, I generally just buy cotton, or nylon, but if something catches my eye, it doesn't really matter what it's made of, as long as they have it in my size

I do like silk panties very much, but being harder to find and more expensive, I go for satin, soft nylon, microfiber and any with lace..

Satin for me!!! Silk is great until you wash it and then it looses it's shine and slick feel.

I wear panties 24-7 , I find nylon most uncomfertable, my first choice is rayon. second is cotton than comes the man made fibers. Rayon panties are hard to find these days,I love soft and silky rayon panties so much that I purchased a sewing machine and sew some for myself successfully.
As Aunty Anna said in the earlier post I also have hoard of rayon fabric to turn in to panties of my choice.
