I get tired of ordering things through the mail. I just wanted some nice silky panties, and I wanted them NOW, so I took a trip to a local Wal-Mart, where they have self-checkout lines. I thought this would be a great way to get my panties and get out without really having to face anyone.

I have only bought panties in person once before, in a fetish/sex shop, where they see all kinds of stuff and don't blink twice, and so I was much more comfortable there. The problem is that those places strike me as over-priced, and the panties are generally fancier than what I'm looking for. I like feeling "regular panties" against my skin.

I went in to Wal-Mart and after circling nervously for a few minutes, I hurried over to the intimates section while no one else was around. I spotted some lovely things and took them off the shelf. I thought the self-checkout lines were open, but just as I was getting ready to pay I realized they weren't, and so there I was, with my panties, looking at the cashier, who was very nice to me. I had gotten soap too, and I said something about "running errands," hoping that would throw her off, but whatever.

I have to say that I wasn't half as embarrassed as I thought I was going to be. I think I found a new, cheaper, faster way to get my panties. I bought Hanes hi-cut satin stretch. I love them.

I buy panties at Wal-Mart quite often. Sometimes through the self checkout lanes, when available, but other times through the standard lines. I always use a shopping basket so if anyone is behind me in line they won't notice until I'm at the register. I was the same way at first, very embarassed, face beat red, hoping to avoid contact with anyone. But, I'm sure after a few more visits to the lingerie department at Wal-Mart you won't even need to try to hide. Then you will be able to take your time and pick out items that really make you turned on and feel sexy!

same thing for me sometimes,, i normally have no problems or any anxietys towards purchasing items, however, just sometimes, i get a rush of nervousment,, but just keep telling myself,,, they will probably not remember me the next time i am in the store,,

You will get used to buying them at a register once you have done it enough....LOL...

Heck, I even go into Cacique and ask for sizes and color not on display...usually they don't have my size.

In Canada Walmart has gotten rid of the self check out lines, so I have to face the clerk if I want to buy panties there (or anywhere else for that matter) and I have learned that the clerks just don't care. They almost never say anything although once an attractive young lady said "wow, you have good taste." Which was actually quite a turn on for me. My concern is that one of my neighbours will get in line behind me, but I remedy that by not shopping near my home.

I found the best time to buy panties and such is around the holidays. That way it looks like your buying gifts. Valintines day is cuming soon! I dont have a problem anytime, My GF shops with me and Im less embarrassed being in the ladies dept. with her.

I never have a problem buying panties in stores, in the beginning it used to bother me but now I dont care, its not like you are going to see the check out person again, I revisited several stores all the time and most of the time I never see the same person and the check out people are not even paying attention to what you are purchasing anyway. In the beginning when I started buying them I used to ask the sales check out person if it would be a problem to return them if they are not the right ones/sizes that my wife wanted, just to clear the air..... but now like I said I dont care and most check out people dont either. I started when I was 17 buying my first pairs of panties. Like others here have said clerks won't say anything and if it's a specialty shop they enjoy the sale. Jusy enjoy your purchases and have fun.

Oh yes! Hanes HerWay satin stretch hicuts sz 6 at WalMart........I've bought a bunch of them and I can't go to WalMart without passing through the lingerie section to see if there are any new colors or patterns I don't have yet.

I suspect that a good portion of the sales of those panties are to us pantyboys.

I like to buy panties at wal-mart too...but i feel they don't have as much selection as they used too.... Still some nice ones though!
Just like the others said, it was hard at first but gets easier the more you go. I personally prefer to look for the older ladies at the checkout than the younger ones. For some reason they make me feel less self-conscious about panties. I also always have my wedding ring on and make it a point of handing over the panties with my left hand so they see my ring...maybe silly but whatever makes it easier...

I think it's just like any other store now. Clerks really aren't aloud to say anything and most are seeing it more and more, so they don't feel the need to.
There will always be ones that give you looks. Just ignore them and enjoy your purchases.

Walmart is my favorite place to buy panties. They're cheap, you get to pick them out one by one (unless you buy a pack - Hanes silk stretch yay!) and they do have a variety, at least by me they do. I have no shame anymore walking in there and browisng for a while, picking out the ones I like. I even shop for some stockings there and recently bought a pair of womens jeans. I've even challenged myself sometimes by going up to the old man or young man cashiers.

What I've come to realize is that no one cares. Even if they do, that's their problem not mine. I like what I like.

I love buyng at Wal-mart. I will comment at the check out as she is scanning the tags, "Those our my favorite, they are sooo comfortable." Sometimes they will comment back and sometimes they just ignore.

Down under in Australia we have Kmart the same deal, luv browsing through the panties and feeling each pair, after enjoying picking a pair or pairs of panties, put them into shopping basket and head to the self serve checkouts, best invention, get the shopping bag ready, scan the panties & straight into the bag.

I was at Walmart yesterday exchanging a toy for one of my grandkids. Of course I had to check out their lingerie section. I found something called Boty Pants. Padded butt panties. I bought a pair for my wife. She complained about having a condition she called WGB. White girl booty. I have a pair I bought online that has hip and butt padding.

Kohl's has a very nice selection also. I've gotten comfortable buying panties anywhere. Sales people just want the sale and it's not like you will meet them any place else. The more you shop the easier.

I buy panties at WalMart quite often. Again, the checkout girls just don't care what you're buying. Once in a while the girl will comment, "Oh, they're so cute." or something like that. I will agree with them and they really don't care that it's a man buying them! :-) Relax and enjoy your shopping!
