Girdle sizes are hard to figure out .. some go by waist others by hip measurement and others by a combination of both .. how they figure it out is unknown to everyone I have talked too ... my best suggestion is to just start with your hip measurement and the try a few on ... as long as you keep your panties on when you try them on most stores will accept returns .. All Ladies know how hard it is to get the size right .. different brands size different also .. I love panty girdles so I have several pair but still every now and then I will still get one too tight or too loose ... but then shopping for sexy under garments is so much fun I don't really mind going back ***blush*** ... as for brands .. well I love Glamorus and Just My Size from Hanes ... but Playtex makes a wonderful girdle also ...
Just go for it sweetie ... try a few find one you just LOVE and then your know ... remember I said LOVE not just good enough .. because when a gurl finds a girdle she LOVES she will always feel better .. we all need help to achieve that ever so sexy hour-glass figure from time to time ... BTW do NOT get one too small because they actually hurt after you have had them on for a few hours .. believe me I have done it .. chasing that always sexy so feminine hour-glass figure can make a gurl want to put up with pain .. but all the experts say if it is too small it doesn't work like it was designed and can actually ruin the image with bulges in the wrong place .. remember everything need to stay inside .. and if it is too small parts will work their way out .. mid-rib bulges are always a sign it is too small for your sexy body.

I really like ebay. Some are dead stock - old stuff that was never sold and pulled out of storage somewhere. Some are used - which doesn't bother me personally. The higher end stuff will come in actual sizes 32 34 36 ... - Others come in S M L XL ..... LLPG-Long Leg Panty Girdle OB-Open Bottom Girdle Briefs - no legs High Waist will come up to mid stomach to just below the breast. A lot of the high waist will have bones that keep the girdle from rolling.
For starters I would recommend something that is not high waist and without bones. Something with satin panels would be nice. If they are real girdles they should have garters. Some will have 3 garters per leg, most have two per leg.
Rago, Glamorise, Bestform, Vanity Fair, Playtex, Sears, Montgomery Ward, Underscore, Adonna are some brands.
Search vintage girdle and you'll get about 8 pages. A search of girdles will get you 30 + pages - and you'll have to weene out the junk.
Most sellers will tell you what range of size like 'will fit a 30-34 in waist best' I am a 36 waist and an XL is probably best sometimes an XXL.
As for exact sizes - I like one size small 34 best - I like them on the tight side. 36 is a good fit and a 38 is usually too loose.
One more thought - the high waist can show if your only wearing a shirt over it. I usually only wear a high waist in winter when I can wear a sweater with it. Try a girdle over pantyhose - I really like that feeling....good luck

Thank you also for the response, my hour glass figure (giggle) left me a while ago. I do work on getting it back but am not blessed with femme legs tho'. Too many hours cycling and doing leg presses in college....
Oh well, I get them wrapped around you and you don't go anywhere

I have tried girdles and they just didn't do anything for me, I am into the sexy feel of soft and lusious fabrics. Proper fit without being tight does it for me.

Cycling legs .. wow they have to be sexy and strong ... most GGs ride bikes or do some kind of leg exercises to keep their legs firm and sexy so you are ahead of a lot of them ... anyway nothing sexier than a nice firm bottom in tight panties held up by a pair of sexy firm legs in stocking above a cute pair of heels ... love to see a pic of you that way ...

If I want firm control I will wear a girdle, they help when I can't get my pants on. I remember I use to wear them to work along with my bra and panties, it was great. I still have quite a few girdles, some with the catch to hold up stockings and others, just like panties but with more control. I have girdles in many pretty colors.

Yes. Yes! I love girdles also. I love the long leg type. I wear them a lot. I love the one's with back support.
I like girdles with the garter attachments. Yes I wear that too.

I am a fan of Rago open bottom girdles with six garters. I wear mine often to hold up my stockings (shade nearly black).

Love the hug of a tight girdle, especially high waisted. I frequently wear one along with a longline bra for a snug feeling all over. I'm too tall to find an all in one that is long enough. Wearing stockings attached to the suspender clips is most enjoyable. Have both open bottom and panty style girdles.
