As I’m sitting here typing this, I’m wearing a white satin bra with chiffon trim around the top of the cups, and all the way up the length of straps. I work a full time job at a well known and respected company, and I own a house in a medium sized city. Point being, that as I type this, nobody knows about my fascination with, and wearing of lingerie and panties. My neighbors are oblivious as well as my coworkers. Of course. Why would they know unless I told them about it? I’d like you to keep that in mind.

Men who wear lingerie and panties is a lot more common than you make think. Your best buddy, cousin, brother-in-law, son, employee, neighbor, and even your husband just might enjoy wearing lingerie. That burly construction worker might just be wearing something frilly underneath those coveralls. Truck drivers, military men, lawyers, doctors, and tradespersons are all included. How would I know? Well, I belong to several internet based communities were men who enjoy wearing lingerie find refuge and common ground. We share stories, preferences, ask questions and always welcome new members who are like minded. In today’s world, our group is still frowned upon, and men like us are viewed in a negative way. The automatic assumption that men who wear lingerie are gay is terribly misconstrued. Most of us (not all of us) are straight men, and a good portion is even happily married, some with families.

Like anything, there are various levels of involvement, some of us just enjoy wearing panties, and panties only. There are some men, who enjoy bras, hosiery and related accessories like garter belts. A few are full out cross dressers who wear women’s outer clothing as well as intimates. A vast majority of us aren’t so into full out cross dressing, we tend to embrace lingerie more than anything. The trend I’ve noticed through the years, is that the older the man is, the more confident he is with his sexuality and his lingerie wearing is an accepted part of him. An older man will wear his panties and sometimes more (lingerie) to work, and during his every-day life. Younger men who are just discovering their attraction to lingerie generally have feelings of guilt - almost like something is wrong with them. They have no idea why they’re so drawn to wearing lingerie and they’re confused as far as their sexuality goes. Because society has made it taboo for men to wear women’s clothing, both inner and outer, a huge population of men suffer terribly until they figure out that it’s okay, nothing is wrong with them, and they’re only doing what comes naturally. Essentially, they’re establishing their view of what’s sexually acceptable to them. The very foundation of what’s normal to an individual is personal and can take time to learn about and accept. How is it that society can embrace/tolerate gay marriage, city-wide gay pride celebrations, and women that wear men’s clothes? All of those things are/have been ‘normal’ parts of every day life in North America, yet society can’t get their mind around the fact that some men enjoy wearing feminine and sexy undergarments.

Lingerie dawning men aren’t hurting anyone, violating religious texts, or causing any sort of social uproar. We’re a happy, harmless bunch, and unless we told you that we’re wearing panties during a break at the office water cooler you’d never know. If we did happen to tell you, should it change your opinion of us? Absolutely not! Clothing does not change who a person is. The only thing clothing is intended/designed for is to express the wearer’s personality, taste and style. Men who wear panties are in fact expressing all of those things and themselves but underneath their clothes. You might not see what’s underneath so why should your personal opinion of somebody change if you can’t see a portion of their personal expression? Bob in accounting is still Bob in accounting regardless of the color of his tie during the week, or if he’s wearing satin panties or men’s tighty whities. He’s till the same guy.

Some people think that a panty wearing man is less of a ‘man’. This is definaltey not the case. Take a punk rocker for example. If he went down to the local hang out, and was wearing six less buttons, two less patches and four more studded bracelets than usual, does that make him any less of/ or more punk than before? Does that mean he doesn’t truly embrace his music and lifestyle any less or more? Of course not. What somebody wears doesn’t subtract from or add to their passion for something or who they are. If a man wears a suit to the office everyday but never wore suspenders before, but all of the sudden starts wearing them, would you change your opinion of him because he’s wearing suspenders now? Yes, you can see the suspenders, but the point is that weither or not you can or cannot see something shouldn’t and doesn’t matter. Bob in accounting is still Bob in accounting, The punk rocker is still the punk rocker, and a panty wearing man is still the man.

I 100% agree with you, I am a 24/7 panty and lingerie wearer. I also have a respectable job as a building surveyor, wearing all maner of lingerie under my suit both to the office and building site. Do i class myself any different from my colleagues or clients Not at all im a man who is happy with his sexuality and enjoys the feeling of wearing panties and lingerie on a daily basis.

Yes, I agree. Men wearing panties and such is much more common then people realize.

100% agree. Unless you're into "transitioning", which would put you in a whole different catagory, you're still a man. Slightly off topic, but related, a couple of months ago I was at a party. Under my clothes I was wearing stockings, garterbelt and bra. Over all this, a rather androgynous black slack set, 2 inch black patent heels and a black silk shirt. The partygoers were a mixed bag of gay, straight and bi men and women. Sometime late in the evening I was hit on by a really macho looking guy in a gorgeous Armani suit. He began to chat me up, and I know he made me, because up close, even with some light makeup, I'm still a guy. It didn't seem to matter to him, so I clocked him as gay, which was fine by me.

After a couple of drinks he suggested we go up to his room. When we got inside, he poured another drink and soon we were standing quite close. He reached for me, and as I folded my arms around him to accept his kiss, I felt the straps of his bra under his shirt! I won't go into details, but the rest of the night was wonderful, and... he was quite the man.

It does seem as though you hear about it and see more and more of it in the news these days. Hopefully someday there will be worldwide acceptance of men wearing women's undies and other.

I think a lot of the hostility comes from guys who want to wear womens undies themselves, but would never dare. It might also be that those shouting the loudest against wearing womens underwear are those who most desperately want to wear it themsleves, but are too hung up.

It's like the boy who is afraid of getting bullied joining in when it's someone else getting bullied - anything to divert attention from himself.

I may be wrong, but I think most guys would like to wear ladies underwear, at least at some stage.

Wonder why that is, and why it's so unacceptable?

Lucy
