Well, I finally did it. I bought myself some new panties that where not my wife's. It was not a stress free as I would have hoped, but they finally arrived.

I decided that with the valentines holiday coming up I would order some new Victoria's Secret Panties(for me). If the package got intercepted, then I would blame it on Valentines Day, even though my wife never wears any sexy underwear. I placed my order on Sunday night with VS, and scheduled 3 day delivery since they said it would arrive on Thursday, a day I knew I would be the only one home.

Thanks to the speedy service of UPS(not good this time), my delivery was scheduled for Wednesday. I checked the tracking 10 times that day to see if it was delivered. I was on my way home(early) when I say that it made it before her arrival home. I was able to get home and get the package before she saw it.

I am excited with my new purchases and can't wait to post some new pics.

Of course, waiting 24 hours to try them on was hard, and the fear of getting caught red handed had me worried to death. Such a shame I haven't been honest.

Of course I looked at the catalog provided and wanted to order more. Maybe another day.

Congratulations on your new purchase. I hope you enjoy your panties in every way you like. I saw in your profile that you're in the US. Instead of ordering panties online, why not head to the mall and go to the store to get your next batch of panties? If you're not comftorable with shopping at the store that's cloeset to you, head a town over or something and hit the mall there. It seems to me that ordering from the catalog is too high risk for you? The store might be a much better option.

Good advice Teri. I've employed that tactic several times. I find going when it first opens to work better for me. Most mall type chains open around ten or so. Going in the morning also affords better selection, as before they open, they're restocking. I've been around closing and that can be hit or miss, I find that the day of the week can really influence how many people are in the store still.

Another awsome time to go is around dinner time. Just last week I stopped in at my one my favorite lingerie haunts around 1700, and the store was EMPTY. The two ladies were oh so happy to help me out, and having the store to myself was very inspiring. I took my time and had a GOOD look around, and didn't feel rushed to get in and get out. I'm not usually like that even if there are people in the store while I'm there, but you don't feel so 'out of place' if you know what I mean.

So there you go, some advice if you're a little shy. Let us know if you go to the store and how it was for you.

I have to agree with other posters that if you can get over being shy about it, buying them in a store at an off time is a good way to get some new panties...and it can also be a thrill. Just being surrounded by all those panties is half the fun. And in my experience people don't really take notice of you, and checking out is a lot easier than you think.

The last time I bought some panties I was pretty nervous. It had been some time since I'd had a chance to do it, so I felt a bit rusty. But eventually some pretty panties just caught my eye and I had to have them. When I got to the checkout a very cute young woman rang me up. She was very polite and sweet and probably figured they were for someone else. Besides, I think she was the one blushing :)

Anyway...it's almost valentines day. This is a great time of year to shop for panties if you're shy.

I used to be embarrassed buying panties but eventually my brain figured out that it's just some clothing, and the staff and customers have no idea who I'm buying for. I've had a woman at the register tell me they were a wonderful colour and design, and I had to agree. Another asked me if I was buying the garter belt for Valentine's Day and I honestly told her I didn't realise, and it was just a special gift. She thought I was some awesome boyfriend or something, and I didn't see the need to correct her.

Valentines Day is a great time to shop. I took the opportunity this week to do a little shopping for both my wife and I. I went into a VS store as I was in the mall burning up a bit of time between meetings. A beautiful dark haired salesgirl approached me and asked me if there was anything she could help me with. I told her I was looking for a Valentine gift for my wife. She asked what I was looking for. I told her maybe some nice pajamas. My wife doesn’t go for real fancy lingerie. She might wear it a couple of times to appease me, but it usually ends up in the back of her panty drawer. (So I can try it on!) After telling her my wife’s bra and panty size she showed me a couple of nice PJ combos and I picked out a couple of nice bottoms and tops for her. After I picked out the PJ’s the salesgirl asked me if I wanted to buy anything for her to wear under them. Maybe a bra and panties? (Way to upsell honey!) I decided at that point it was shopping time for me.

I said, sure that would be great. She took me to the table where the Valentines Day panties were on display. I found a nice pair of pink see thru bikinis. I’m fortunate that my wife and I are close in our sizes so I can shop stealth. After picking out the pink ones, I asked her to show me some non-valentines day merchandise and what she would recommend for a matching bra and panty set. She said my wife’s bra size isn’t the most common but she did find a nice teal blue body by Victoria back smoothing bra and panties to match. I also opened a few of the panty drawers and found a pair of lavender “very sexy” hip huggers and said “Oh, she would love this color.” My sales girl said, Aren’t those a pretty color? I like those too.” I must admit it was a bit of a turn on hearing her say that, thinking about her wearing them or something like them. She was hot! I also found a nice pair of red Angels bikinis. Both have lace trim and feel incredible.

I ended up spending well in excess of $100, but what the hell. My wife and I are worth it. I’m keeping the very sexy and angels panties for myself, but I’m going to give my wife the matching bra and panty set, and the pink valentines pair along with the PJ’s. Maybe she’ll share with me. Feeling confident, I wanted to go into Forever 21 and do some underwear shopping too, but I think our age misses the Forever 21 demographic. I’ve found new affection for Valentines day!

Have you ever thought of telling the salesgirl, "I'm looking for some nice lingerie that my wife will wear a couple of times to appease me, so I can wear it after it ends up in the back of her panty drawer."

She might even be more motivated, not that she needs it, she did get you to put in excess of $100 on the counter in the end. :D
